Where the handoff happens
Every outbound link on this site is labeled before you click it. When a provider is available for your state, the state panel says “You’ll continue to an independent third-party website” and the link opens in a new tab. Nothing redirects on its own, and no step happens without you choosing it.
If no provider is available for your state, the panel says so plainly: “Eligibility provider not currently available in this state.” We do not send you to an unrelated provider to fill the gap. The state information stays available either way.
What happens on the provider’s site
Independent providers run their own eligibility review or application-assistance process, under their own terms and privacy policy. Any questions about your background, identity, or documents are asked there, by them — not here. Read their disclosures before you provide information, and confirm what service you are agreeing to.
What we never ask for
This site collects no eligibility information at all. There is no questionnaire, no intake form, and no request for a Social Security number, government ID, criminal-history detail, medical information, or uploaded document. The only thing you tell this site is which state you want to read about, and that stays in your browser.
What we cannot do
We do not issue permits or licenses, process or expedite applications, or make official eligibility determinations. We are not a government agency and we are not a law firm. Approval decisions are made by the relevant government authority under applicable law, and nobody — including any provider — can guarantee an outcome.
